I don't know why, but it seems that everywhere I turn lately, I can't seem to get away from The 3 Musketeers. Have you seen the new movie? Terrible. To wash the bad taste from my mouth, I watched the old version - you know - the one with Jack Bauer. I was reminded why it's so much cooler than the new one: it had a music video/song made just for it! The best part about it? Sting. Yep. STING. Babe-a-lish.

Best parts of the video?

• Rod Stewart is gross. Always has been, always will be.

• I think Bryan and Rod have a man-crush on each other. What's with all the touching?

• What is with the dinner scene with the wenches and the wine?? Awkward. 

• Sting's general attitude - his disdain for the whole situation. A paycheck is a paycheck, right? Watch for the part (at about 4:05) where Bryan Adams gets totally denied by Sting. He's so freakin' cool.

Avengers Trailer

Ummmm please watch this and witness how beautiful Thor's hair is going to be in this movie. Can someone explain to me why Thor doesn't just blow all the other 'avengers' out of the water? He's a god. They are humans. What am I missing here?

Harry is Daniel

Pretty sure this was the comedy missing from the last installment of Harry Potter. I left the theater the other day feeling depressed and sad from the doom and gloom of HP7a... but now I feel better knowing that it all turns out ok because the real Harry Potter is just chillin' out right now.

Halloween Week

In honor of this spooky week, I'm going to try and post something Halloween-y or creeperish everyday! Darling, I know.

I really love this older SNL Digital Short. Question - is it ironical that Ellen Page is in this video which centers around dreams and waking up from dreams and wondering what real life is and then a few years later she stars in a movie about dreams and waking up from dreams and wondering what real life is??? Just an observation! What do you think? Either way, enjoy this gem of a vid.

This movie is so great! I think it's right up there in amazingness with Mean Girls. Why do I love teen movies so much? They thrill me... and it's quite sad, really. The following scene is about this girl's boring weekend and it's pure gold:

500 Days of Summer

I loved it. I love watching it with other people. The reactions I've seen have been interesting. Depending on the person's own experience with love and unrequited love... you get varying degrees of discomfort over Summer's character - love that. Also, I love the cinematography and narration of the whole thing. I love the soundtrack - especially since it includes The Smiths and Temper Trap. Basically, I loved it.

Immaculate Inception

Did you see Inception with the always awesome Leonardo DiCaprio? I for one loved it! So much. There were a lot of little things that you had to look for and pay attention to and you leave the theater practically reeling. A couple of the friends I went and saw it with said they dreamed about it the night after.

If you haven't seen it - SEE IT. If you have seen it, enjoy this little vid. (Don't worry - If you watch this video and haven't seen it yet, it won't give anything away I don't think.)

ONE
As I was looking up pictures for Sophie's movie post - I came across this one and it made me so happy:

A) Because it's ironical
B) Because they are playing scrabble and I'm obsessed with scrabble on my iPhone. If you want to play with me I would love it! My user name is PrettyKate (also I must explain my user name: There is a favorite song of mine by INXS called 'Mediate'. The whole song is words that rhyme with 'mediate'. When I was little, I could have sworn he said 'Pretty Kate' and not 'pedicate'. That combined with the other part of the song where there is heavy breathing - made this song my favorite! By the way, I need to make a future post about songs that have creepy heavy breathing in them - I don't know why but I just love them. Anyway, it wasn't until we had the internet and I could look up the lyrics to that song and guess what?? I was right! Way cool.)
C) Because the other words in the raptor scrabble game are potty words!! Love it!

TWO

As I was writing up the last post, I was thinking of my own favorite olden time movie moments and one of my favorites as a kid was 'Drop Dead Fred'. Classic! The best part is when the girl comes out in her purple formal gown and Fred says, "You look like a big bruise!"

Also, as I was googling Drop Dead Fred... I found out that they are doing a remake of it in 2011!!! Heck yes! That is going to be phenomenal. They already have Russell Brand committed to play Fred. I love Russell Brand. Did you see him in Bedtime Stories? He is so yucky and so British... I can't help but be attracted to him.
